Ant Sprays, Baits, and Traps
Riverside has multiple types of ants that infest our homes and lawns. Our products are designed to target all different types of ants and take advantage of their common habits. Our program utilizes different products at different times of the year to focus on the types of ants you may see throughout the year.
Repellent Sprays - At times a repellent spray is the correct spray needed for the job. This treatment creates a barrier that keeps them out of the areas we want secured. This product works best at certain times of the year when they are on the hunt for food or water.
Non-repellent Sprays - A Non-repellent spray takes advantage of ant habits to eliminate them at the source. When ants travel over areas treated with a non-repellent they product sticks to their legs. As they travel around they spread this product amongst the colony, eventually taking it back to their hive. When ants arrive at their colony they clean themselves, and in doing so ingest the product and are eliminated. This method of treatment is the one preferred on your initial spray as it will ensure all the ants in the home will be exterminated.
Baits - In some cases a bait is the best option. As ants search for food they will discover and take to the bait. They take this bait back to their colony and like non-repellents ingest and are exterminated. This option also is effective if interior sprays cannot be done to to homeowner request or if anyone residing in the home is sensitive to sprays.
Ongoing maintenance plans generally consist of sprays every 3 months. These sprays reinforce the barrier created, keeping the ants out.
